This makes it ideal for outside use such as gravesides. Should you wish to use the candle inside, just remove the cap. To light the candle, simply lift off the cap. To put it back on, gently push the cap back in. The candle is safe to burn inside the plastic container (check the wick is upright at all times when lit). When the candle fully evaporates it extinguishes itself. Each candle has a burn time of APPROXIMATELY 7 days if burnt continuously (temperature of environment candle is placed in, may affect the length of burn time).
